Photos
It was a pretty day outside today so i decided to go take some pictures at my local park about five minutes away by foot. I gathered my photography equipment and headed out. I only spent an hour taking photos because my friend wanted to meet and discuss her wedding, I’m her photographer. I took about twenty, maybe eighteen photographs and they all turned out pretty decent except for a few of them. There was a strange man or woman in six of my photos. They had black pants, black shoes, and a black coat but I couldn’t see their face too well because they got further away in each picture I had of them. I always take doubles of my pictures so that I have one to edit and one that’s normal. I looked at the doubles of the photos with the figure in them and it wasn’t there. This began to worry me a bit because only a vampire or a ghost could disappear that quick. I called my friend and asked if we could meet up over dinner instead of lunch to discuss, she said yes. I walked back to the park with a different camera to see if that would work, it didn’t. With these photos, the figure thing kept getting closer and closer. The thought of having vampires in North Carolina is scaring me because last time there was, to many people died so I had to kill twenty vampires, twenty of my people, my friends. I no longer feed on human blood because I’ve learned to control it, to keep my secret a secret but this unknown vampire coming back could interfere with that. I left my photography equipment at home this time and went back to the park to confront the vampire person and find out who they actually are. I sat for almost an hour and a half, nothing happened. No mysterious creature, no one dressed in black passed by. Now I thought someone was messing with me so I got up and tried to walk back to my house when there it was. My height, dressed in black and standing here in front of me, Elizabeth Pierce. “What are you doing here, Elizabeth?” I demandingly asked because I expected a response. “None of your business.” Elizabeth said then dashed away. Elizabeth was my twin vampire sister who I thought I killed but I guess I didn’t. I gave up on her several years ago and I’m giving up again. I walked home, head down, trying to find a reason why she would come back. I got to my house and walked in and to my surprise, there she was, sitting on my couch, petting my dog and staring at the wall. “So you decided to come home and stop looking for me I see.” She said, “Why are you here?!” I asked, totally ignoring what she told me. “Aren't you glad to see me, Annabelle?” I rolled my eyes, “Do you really want an answer to that?” I crossed my arms and sighed, “Someones a tad bit feisty.” I put all my weight on my left leg and stood there until she finally answered, “Fine! I’m here because I found a way to get mom back.” Our mom was locked away a while ago and we haven’t been able to get her out. Our dad died before he became a vampire so there was no saving him. “How? We’ve already tried just about everything we know and we have failed all times.” She smirked, evilly, “Witch.” I dashed towards her, pushing her against the wall, “You know that vampires and witches are mortal enemies. Any chance they get, they’ll kill you and don’t think they won’t.” I let her go and she ran out of my house, into the cold, dark night. What if Elizabeth actually lets my mom out? I kind of don’t want her out because she’s weak from lack of blood so any human in her sight will die. Any chance at freedom she gets, she’ll abuse it. I have to stop Elizabeth. I figured she would go to where the burial of my mothers chamber was so I ran there, didn’t take long. I quietly walked down the stairs but that didn’t help me much, “Decided to join me?” Elizabeth asked as if she wasn’t surprised. “I’m not joining you, I’m telling you this is a bad idea.” She rolled her eyes and a girl walked down the stairs with a book in her hand. “You know you want mom back too. Don’t act like it doesn’t hurt you that she’s gone.” I laughed, “It doesn’t hurt. It doesn’t phase me because I know that she’ll go crazy, she’ll kill anyone in her path and not think twice about it. She’s going to abuse the freedom you give her even if you were her favorite child.” She turned to the lady who was most likely the witch and said, “Do it.” She started saying some random words like a spell and the wall opened and there she was, our mother, the most powerful vampire there ever was. Elizabeth fed her some blood and as soon as our mom, Elena, got stronger, pretty much back to normal, she darted out of the cave and where she went, we have no idea. “Told you so.” I said laughing, “Now you have to find her and figure it out from there.” I walked out of the underground cave and ran back to my house because I knew she would ask me for help but I’ve fixed to many of her problems in the past. I grabbed my laptop and began editing all of my photos from today and trying to take Elizabeth out of the photos with photoshop. I felt a breeze go past me but I ignored it because I thought it was elizabeth trying to scare me into helping her, it wasn’t working. It was around noon so I fixed me some lunch and went to grab my laptop off the couch but that wasn’t the only thing on my couch… “Hey there, Annabelle.” Elena said. “Mom…” She stood up and smiled, “I’m not locked away anymore, we can be a family again!” I nudged myself out of her arms and rolled my eyes, “That’s the point mom, I do NOT want to be a family again. I have taken care of myself this long so I’m pretty sure i’ll be fine. Just worry about Elizabeth, we all know she was your favorite child considering i’m the one that locked you away.” She smiled and grabbed my throat, “You have made your choice and I have made mine. We can be a family again or I’ll kill you.” She threatened, “Fine. Kill me.” She let me go and disappeared before I could attack her. I locked her away because she couldn’t control herself. She killed nearly thirty people in one day and she wouldn’t stop so I had to trick her and lock her up. She even tried to kill Elizabeth before I turned her into a vampire but she doesn’t know that, that’s why Elizabeth let her go. I let this all brush past me because I didn’t want anything to do with my mom. I always hated being in a house when I was mad so I grabbed my camera and headed to the lake even though it was forty five minutes away, I didn’t care. I was careful taking my photos this time because I didn’t want to have my mom or Elizabeth in these photos. I blacked out almost twenty minutes into taking photos and woke up in a random room that let no light in. Must have been my moms house or Elizabeths. Once I regained consciousness, I started freaking out trying to find my camera when I heard someone talk, “Don’t worry, your camera is right here, even put it in the bag for you.” Elena said. I looked and saw her face and jumped a little because her mouth and face area was covered in blood. “Why are you doing this?!” I asked her as I was cleaning up her face, “I don’t know, I just have a craving for blood. I’ve been locked away for almost one hundred years.” I shook my head and sighed, “So how did I end up at your house? I was taking photos.” She stood up, “Because I brought you here, I need your help.” I dropped the bloody towel from cleaning her face and walked out of the house but I couldn’t go any further, I dropped straight to the ground because the sun was burning my skin. Elena pulled me back inside, laughing, “You think you’re going to get away? Well you’re not, I took your necklace because I knew you would try to leave.” The necklace my mom took off of me allowed me to be able to go into the sunlight. “What do you need help with?” I asked, still in pain. “I need you to help me, Annabelle. When Elizabeth let me out, she didn’t shut the door so four more dangerous vampires got out.” My eyes got wide, “How am I supposed to help?! You’re the strongest vampire.” She grabbed my camera, “This. You found Elizabeth with this so I need you to help me find those other vampires as soon as possible.” Elena said. She handed me the camera and my necklace with a smile, “Please.” I put my necklace on and headed back to the lake to continue taking photos. I didn’t want all these vampires here and all these people dead so I decided to try and find them so I went to the park and the forest then I went home and uploaded the photos. Out of the two hundred photos I took, only six had black figures in them. These vampires weren’t quite as smart as most because they didn’t try to hide their faces, good thing you don’t have to be smart to be powerful, There were only two vampires that I found, they just appeared in a lot of my photos. I invited my mom over and showed her the two vampires I found. They were her parents, Bonnie and Johnny. She knew they would come to her and that they knew the other two vampires would follow right behind them so we met them in the park, two wooden stakes in each hand. They got closer and we drove the stakes right through their hearts, “Are you sure that’s all the vampires that got out?” I asked my mom. “I was stuck with them for almost one hundred years i’m pretty sure I would know who was in there.” My mom said sarcastically. “So… What’s up with Elizabeth?” I asked, trying to ignore her rude remark. “She doesn't know anything about this and she doesn't need too." I nodded my head in agreement. I took my mom home then headed home myself to make dinner and edit the good photos I got from today. Some of the photos that the black figures were in were actually pretty good but I couldn't edit them out that good. I called my mom after trying to edit the pictures with the vampires in it, " hey mom." "Hi." "Next time I'm taking photos, you and Elizabeth need to stay out of my way because I can't edit you out." "Fine... Then you need to tell me when you are going to take pictures so I know when to not annoy you.." She laughed then hung up.
