you're fired

Tim woke up, happy to go to work for some reason. He ate a nice, healthy breakfast then did his daily morning routine then headed to work. He parked and walked into work, grabbing a strawberry iced sprinkled doughnut then headed to the office. His job for now, was organizing papers, running errands and making the schedule for every one's work day. He was ahead of the game today, finished everything early so he got ready to go home to his loving wife and cook dinner. He grabbed his bag and another doughnut to end his work day with. as soon as he was almost out of the building, his boss stopped him, “Hey Tim, can we talk?” Tim finished eating his delicious creme filled donut and put his bags down then walked into Chris’ office, “Yes?” Tim said with a smile on his face. “You’re fired.” The smile disappeared from Tim's face and he was now frowning. Tim looked at the floor, he wondered how he was going to tell his wife. They have been going through financial troubles since Tina, Tim's wife, got fired from her job two weeks ago. He walked out of the office, grabbing his bags and his stuff from the office, then left. He said to his wife that they would make it through, that he wouldn't fail but he did. He sat in his car for almost thirty minutes just thinking about how to tell his wife what happened. Tim finally went home and decided to take his wife out for dinner instead of cooking, they went to Olive Garden. While they were eating their entrees, Tim spoke, “Tina, you know I’ll always do my best to support us, to keep anything from happening to us, right?” She looked very worried, “Yeah...What’s wrong? What happened?” Tim grabbed Tina's hand and looked down at the table, “I got fired today and he couldn't tell me why or what happened.” He looked at Tina, “I’ve already scheduled a few job interviews for tomorrow though.” She smiled and spoke, “I scheduled two or more job interviews tomorrow, also.” Their main course got to the table and they ate and enjoyed the delicious, well cooked food. They ordered and ate their desert then headed home. They watched TV until they fell asleep.

The next day, they both got up and left their house by ten. Tim went to the first job interview and it was a success! They immediately gave him the job so he didn't even go to the second interview. As for Tina, she had to schedule three extra interviews to get one job, but it paid well. Tina was in a foul mood when she got home but Tim was excited and as happy as could be. Everything worked out great in the end because they both had jobs and could fully support themselves again without worrying about running out of money or anything happening to them or in general that they couldn't handle or afford to fix. Tim ended up getting promoted to assistant manager after only a few months at his new job because he was energetic and excited about work and always made sure that he got the job done and that he was on top of everything. Tina got a raise in her paycheck so that was pretty exciting too.
